Following the example of the network of autonomous research areas in FIIT, more than 40 research sites from different parts of the world have joined together. The prerequisite for an institution’s admission to the Global Network is its international scholarly appeal, its willingness to host doctoral students and post-docs from other participating institutions for one to two semesters, and the commitment of at least three professors per site to offer courses in English as needed.

The Global Network thus facilitates and makes more flexible the exchange of doctoral students worldwide. Furthermore, regularly offered international and interdisciplinary compact seminars in English are part of the network’s program.
