invites applications for
KARL SCHLECHT STIPENDS
GLOBAL NETWORK OF RESEARCH CENTERS FOR THEOLOGY, RELIGIOUS AND CHRISTIAN STUDIES
The application deadline is April 30, 2023.
Please send your application (in English) by e‑mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
In 2023, five stipends of 10,000 euros each are available for an academic exchange within the Global Network of Research Centers for Theology, Religious and Christian Studies.
Students preparing their Master Thesis, doctoral students and postdocs from institutions and schools in the Global Network are invited to apply for a stipend in order to visit another institution in the network for one academic term, with the agreement of colleagues from both sides.
The sponsor, the Karl Schlecht Stiftung, Germany, would like to support projects with implications for socially relevant topics and future leadership (such as business ethics, legal ethics, media ethics, political ethics, scientific ethics, educational ethics, family ethics etc.; cf. the series “Character Formation, Ethical Education, and the Communication of Values in Late Modern Pluralistic Societies”, Leipzig: EVA or Eugene: Wipf & Stock).
The application should include
- a brief description of the project (about 3–5 pages);
- a short curriculum vitae (with bibliography, if applicable);
- a substantial nomination letter by a member of the Global Network on the sending side (1–2 pages);
- a short note of agreement of a member of the Global Network at the institution to be visited.
A group of scholars from different fields will evaluate the applications (multiple evaluations).
Please inform your students of this opportunity.
