Philipp Stoellger has been a professor at the Chair of Systematic Theology: Dogmatics and Philosophy of Religion in Heidelberg since 2015 (renaming in progress).<\/p>\n

From 2007 to 2015 he was a professor in Rostock at the Chair of Systematic Theology and Philosophy of Religion, founder and head of the Institute for Iconicity (Institut f\u00fcr Bildtheorie) and founding spokesperson of the DFG-GRK 1887 Deutungsmacht: Religion und belief systems in Deutungsmachtkonflikten. From 2001 to 2007 he was managing senior assistant of the Institute for Hermeneutics and Philosophy of Religion at the University of Zurich and co-founder and in the leadership of the Competence Center Hermeneutics as well as member of the Interdisciplinary Psychoanalytic Forum (IPF) of the University and ETH Zurich. In 2020, he took over as director of the Forschungsst\u00e4tte der Evangelischen Studiengemeinschaft (FEST).<\/p>\n

His recent publications include: \u201cDeutungsmacht. Religion und belief systems in Deutungsmachtkonflikten\u201d (ed.) (2014); \u201cAn den Grenzen des Bildes. Zur visuellen Anthropologie\u201d (ed., with Marco Gutjahr) (2014); \u201cImpossible Time.
